Where to find scores

Composer Collected Editions are on the Third Floor in Zone 3 A. These are  the most up to date scholarly edition of a piece of music. They are not used for performance but are used for study.

Scores have shelfmarks beginning with M  eg M 200. Scores borrowed in the last five years, or on resource lists, or which are oversized (called folio)  are on the second floor Zone 2B. Those borrowed longer ago than five years are in the Research Reserve. This means that a lot of scores can only  be browsed by making an appointment to use the Research Reserve

Where to find books about music

Books about music have shelfmarks beginning with ML or MT eg ML410.N2. Books which have been borrowed in the last five years are on the Second Floor in Zone 2 B. Books which have been borrowed longer ago than five years are in the Research Reserve.   

DVDs and CDs

CDs and DVDs can be found in the Media Room on the second floor Zone 2 C. CDs and DVDs which have not been borrowed in the last five years are in the Research Reserve
