I am a Research Skills Advisor based in the Barnes Library and am available to provide help, advice, training, support and documentation to research staff, research students and academics.
Support is provided in the form of face to face training sessions and one-to-one appointments.
These are arranged at a mutually convenient time and may be conducted in person, via email, over the phone or via Skype. Through these I aim to enhance the skills of researchers to use library and information resources independently and to enhance their academic experience and to improve the quality of their work.
Help available includes:
Advanced literature searching
Postgraduate skills training
Introductory advice in Open Access, Research Data Management, social media, copyright.
