Good Academic Practice: A Guide

Introduction

The term 'good academic practice' encompasses all of the things that academics do in order to ensure their work is scholarly, ethical and trustworthy. As a student you will be expected to follow the same principles and to ensure that you do not commit plagiarism. This guide looks at the four areas of good academic practice: referencing; using high quality sources; engaging with sources effectively; and paraphrasing.
