ProQuest One Literature contains the following sections, which can be searched individually:
Criticism: Scholarly articles and reviews from over 1200 journals as well as books and conference papers. Coverage is extended by the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL), one of the most important bibliographic sources for English studies.
Primary Texts: Full text of more than 500,000 works of poetry, drama and prose from the eighth century to the present day. Texts can be searched for by criteria such as nationality, ethnicity and gender of the author as well as by genre, literary movement or period. Apart from literature in English from around the world, the collection also includes selected periods of German, Spanish and South American literature.
Reference Works: Encyclopedias, companions, dictionaries, biographies, study guides and topic overviews.
Audio and Video Collections: Collections of audio-visual dramatisations of literary works including Shakespeare Audio Plays, Poets on Screen and BBC Literary Adaptations.
