The following are major providers of a broad range of statistics useful across a range of disciplines. For resources on specific topics see the menu on the left of this page.

Official statistical data, both UK and International including IMF and OECD.
Office for National Statistics
The UK's largest independent producer of official statistics and the recognised national statistical institute of the UK.
Passport (Euromonitor International) This link opens in a new window
Passport provides millions of statistics and in-depth reports on 27 industries with demographic, macro and socioeconomic data and analysis on consumers and economies in 210 countries worldwide. The analysis and statistics (historical and future), such as market sizes and brand share data, are presented both at industry level (e.g. hot drinks) and individual product level (e.g. tea).
Ordnance Survey Digimap This link opens in a new window
Digimap is a web-based map service using Ordnance Survey digital data. Data can be downloaded as maps, or for use with appropriate GIS software. Note: Registration is required for both Digimap and Geology Digimap.
Eurostat
Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its mission is to provide high quality statistics for Europe.

UK Government Web Archive
Preserves UK central government information published on the web dating from 1996 to present.
