1) To locate National Statistics Online or go directly via their website: http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/index.html
2) Click on the Home tab
3) click on the Economy tab, and from the drop-down menu that appears select Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
4) Within the results you will see a series of a series of quick links and graphs to give you quick and easy access to data relating to GDP. Summaries and Publications as well as some related links are also available. Select some of these tabs and links and investigate the sorts of information available on this topic.
To find statistics for an area of the UK go back to the Home tab
5) click on the Looking for local statistics link
This gives you access to ‘Nomis’ for the most detailed and up-to-date UK labour market statistics
